SIMULTANEOUS JUNCTURE OF MULTIPLE OPTICAL FIBER

PURPOSE:To obviate the bleeding out of an adhesive agent for fixing the multiple optical fibers to the outer side of a substrate and to exactly dispose a cap plate at the prescribed position by providing side walls on both side parts of the substrate to be imposed with the multiple optical fibers. CONSTITUTION:The side walls 20A, 20B are provided on both sides of the substrate 14. The part of a tubular connector 3 in a tentatively connected state is mounted in a connector mounting groove 17 on the substrate 14, the parts of the optical fibers 2A, 2B are mounted in fiber mounting grooves 18A, 18B and the parts of multiple coated fibers 1A, 1B in coated fiber mounting grooves 19A, 19B, respectively. The juncture is thus so formed that the optical fibers 2A, 2B are aligned on the straight. Further, the adhesive agent 5 is applied on the substrate 14 so as to embed the tubular connector 3 and the fibers 2A, 2B. A cap plate 16 is adhered and fixed thereon. The exact disposing of the cap plate 16 in the prescribed position is possible in this way. The tubular connector 3 and the optical fibers 2A, 2B are held solidified by the adhesive agent 5.
