CONSTITUTION: An azo dye represented by the formula I (wherein R and R are each hydrogen, phenyl or 1-4C alkylphenyl which may contain up to 20 C-atoms, alkyl-, alkoxyalkyl- or cyanoalkyl group which may be substd. with cyano, 1-15C alkyl, 1-15C alkoxy, halogen or a phenyl- or cyclohexyl group which may be substituted with benzyloxy or a group represented by the formula II; R is hydrogen, amino, hydroxy or alkyl; X is hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, nitro, methyl, phenoxy, trioxy, dimethylphenyloxy, chlorophenoxy or 1-4C alkoxy; Y is hydrogen, chlorine or bromine; and Z is hydrogen, actyl, carbanaoyl or cyano) is used.
