FOOTPRINT IDENTIFIER

PURPOSE:To easily and inexpensively discriminate a footprint without using high-level pattern recognition technique by discriminating the footprint with simple logic by using the ON and OFF information of a mat type sensor. CONSTITUTION:The identifier is comprised of the mat type sensors 1A, 1B, a signal cable 2, a processor 3, and an external memory device 4, etc. Processing in which the presence of the number of output exceeding a prescribed number from each micro pressure sensitive element reacting according to a load by the foot of a person on the mat type sensors 1A, 1B is discriminated as one footprint is performed for all areas of the mat type sensors 1A, 1B. By providing such mat type sensors 1A, 1B and processing means 3, the footprint of the person is easily and inexpensively identified without using high-level information processing technique such as pattern recognition technique, etc.
