Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To decrease the operating force of a brake by providing a pressure rod in contact with a servo piston so as to transmit force in a direction opposite to the moving direction of the servo piston in a brake booster and providing a ring piston so as to surround the pressure rod. CONSTITUTION: In this brake booster 1 connected to a main brake cylinder 10, a brake cylinder 11 is fitted to a bore section 13a with a maximum diameter in the bore 13 with a step of a casing 12 and a servo piston 14 is fitted to an adjacent bore section 13b, respectively. The piston rod 15 of the servo piston 14 is movably connected to an operating rod 16 by a brake pedal. In this case, a pressure rod 29 and a ring piston 36 for surrounding the pressure rod 29 are provided between the servo piston 14 and the brake cylinder 11. The pressure rod 29 is provided with a radially protruding associated member 39 for moving the pressure rod 29 in the same direction as that of the servo piston 14.
