RECOMBINATION OF WORK ROLL OF ROLLING MILL

PURPOSE:To reproduce a correct roll gap and to prevent the fluctuation of a plate thickness by fixing a strip prior to releasing a work roll, making the state of the strip being not moved and executing the release, recombination and re-rolling reduction of the work roll. CONSTITUTION:For the recombination of a work roll 1, a strip 3 is fixed by hydraulic devices 4a, 4b prior to releasing the work roll 1, the release and recombination of the work roll 1 are performed thereafter, the strip 3 is subjected to re-rolling reduction by the work roll 1 after recombination and then the hydraulic devices 4a, 4b are released. Thus, the strip 3 is fixed to recombine the work roll and so a correct roll gap can be reproduced at the re-rolling reduction time of the work roll. Also, the recombined work roll can execute re-rolling reduction at the original strip rolling reduction position without the rolling reduction position being slipped and the plate thickness fluctuation of the strip can be prevented.
