A water-cooled protective gas welding torch for welding with a continuously melting electrode for automatic welding appliances, with periodic blow-out from the inside. This is achieved by the coaxial arrangement of two outer profiled pipes 7, 10, which are electrically insulated from one another and whose grooves 8, 11 are designed as channels which extend from the torch head with the gas nozzle 1 on a gas nozzle holder 4 to a torch body 13. The inner protective gas channels 11 serve at the same time to feed blow-out air into the gas nozzle 1 during periodic cleaning of the gas nozzle. The outer water channels 8 extend as far as the gas nozzle holder 4, so that this is directly cooled. By means of a special configuration of the torch body 13 and the connecting parts 22, protective gas or compressed air for blow-out and cooling water are fed to the coaxially arranged profiled pipes 7, 10.
