SNAKING INSPECTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To inspect the snaking of printed matter automatically by providing a means which resets two pulse counter circuits alternately according to each signal from a slitter mark detecting means, a decision means which judges that the printed matter snakes when a counted value exceeds a set value, etc. CONSTITUTION:On the printed matter 8, a slitter mark 13 which is printed in the flow direction of the printed matter 8 together with a pattern 12 and read by the sensor of a detecting means is printed simultaneously with the mark 13. Further, the device is equipped with a pulse generating means which outputs pulses corresponding to the travel speed of the printed matter 8, the two pulse counter circuits 43 and 44 which count pulses from the pulse generating means, the means which resets the two pulse counter circuits 43 and 44 alternately according to signals 41 and 42 from the slitter mark detecting means, the decision means which judges that the printed matter snakes when the counted value of either of the two pulse counter circuits 43 and 44 exceeds the set value, etc.
