Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily and efficiently control the direction of orientation of reinforcing fiber by a method wherein resin material is poured under the condition that members for changing the direction of flow of resin material are arranged in a mold. CONSTITUTION:When injection molding is performed with a mold 1, a pin 7 as the member for changing the direction of flow of resin material is projected in a cavity 4 by actuating a hydraulic cylinder 8. Next, under the above- mentioned condition, the reinforcing fiber-containing resin material is injected from an injection molder through a runner 6 and a gate 5 into a cavity 4. After that, just before the finish of the flow of the resin material in the cavity 4 (or just after the finish of its injection), the pin 7 is retreated from the interior of the cavity 4 by actuating the hydraulic cylinder 8. The preferable retreat limit of the pin 7 is to bring the tip face of the pin 7 flush with the surface of the cavity and the retraction of the pin 7 in the mold 1 is also good. After that, resin material is injected further. After molding, molds 1 and 2 are opened so as to take a molded item out of the molds. Thus, the orientation of reinforcing fibers can be easily and effectively controlled.
