ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC TYPE COPYING MACHINE

PURPOSE: To surely supply a fixed amount of toner having fixed charge by advancing developer to a donor roller by using a magnetic roller and providing an electrode wire separately arranged in the vicinity of the donor roller so that toner cloud may be formed in a developing area so as to develop a latent image. CONSTITUTION: This machine is provided with an advancing means 46 advancing the developer in the chamber of a housing 44 and forming an area where the fixed amount of toner having the fixed frictional charge is accumulated on the member 40 in cooperation with the member 40, and the electrode member 42 arranged in space between a photoconductive member 10 and the member 40. The electrode member 42 is separately arranged in the vicinity of the member 40, and further electric bias is applied so that the toner is separated from the member 40 to form the toner cloud in the space between the member 42 and the member 10, and an electrostatic latent image recorded on the member 10 is developed with the toner separated from the toner cloud. Thus, the fixed amount of toner having the fixed charge is surely supplied.
