IMAGE FORMING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To transfer an image to an appropriate position of paper by providing a control means which adjusts an image transferring position against the paper at an image forming part responding to positional deviation of the paper detected at a detecting means. CONSTITUTION:A positional deviation detecting means 60 which detects positional deviation in right and left direction of the paper P fed to the image forming part 2, and a control means 4 which adjusts the image transferring position against the paper P at the image forming part 2 responding to the positional deviation of the paper P detected at this detecting means 60 are provided. Thus, the paper P fed to the image forming part 2 has its positional deviation detected in the phase before it. Then, when it is fed to the image forming part 2, the image transferring position against the paper P is adjusted responding to the positional deviation. Thus, the image can be transferred in the appropriate position of the paper.
