APPARATUS FOR X-RAY PHOTOGRAPHY

PURPOSE:To obtain an X-ray film of a fixed density even in case of a side image by installing X-ray filter members movable in a subject's thickness direction in an X-ray diaphragm mechanism when an X-ray tube is arranged at a side position. CONSTITUTION:In case of photographing a right side image of a subject 1, an X-ray tube 3 and cassette 5 are revolved counterclockwise by 90 deg., at the same time, X-ray filter members 18a, 18b are made to descend by a motor 26 so as to place 18b in lower side and to stop at such a position that the subject's thickness part alone will be irradiated with X-ray by a screening action of 18a. Then, an X-ray irradiation is carried out and the subject is photographed. In case of photographing a left side image of the subject 1, the X-ray tube 3 and cassette 5 are revolved clockwise by 90 deg., at the same time, the X-ray filter members 18a, 18b are made to descend by the motor 26 so as to place 18a in lower side and to stop at such a position that the subject's thickness part alone will be irradiated with X-ray by the screening action of 18b. Then, the X-ray irradiation is carried out an the subject 1 is photographed. It is possible, therefore, to obtain an X-ray film of a fixed density, because a correct irradiation field can be set up and an automatic exposure mechanism can be applied even in photographing a side image.
