WIDEBAND LOOP ANTENNA

PURPOSE:To obtain a wideband loop antenna capable of obtaining superior receiving sensitivity extending over a broad frequency band area by forming a loop antenna on an insulating plane, and connecting a non-loop antenna with a different operating band area to the feeding point of the antenna in parallel. CONSTITUTION:The wideband loop antenna is comprised of loop shape antenna conductors 2, 3 formed on the insulating plane, and the non-loop shape antenna 25 connected in parallel with the feeding point 4 of the loop shape antenna conductors 2, 3. The non-loop shape antenna conductor 25 is set so that its resonance frequency can be set at the frequency band area except for the one in the neighborhood of the frequency of integer times the resonance frequencies peroper to the loop shape antenna conductors 2, 3. In other words, high impedance can be shown in the loop shape antenna conductor in the frequency band area except for the one in the neighborhood of the frequency of integer times the resonance frequency proper to them, and no interference between them occurs at the frequency band area where the non-loop shape antenna conductor is operated. In such a way, it is possible to make the frequency band area into the broad band area efficiently with a simple conductor pattern.
