PROGRAMMABLE POWER SUPPLY

PURPOSE:To prevent device circuits and measuring system from damage by providing clamp circuits between a main power supply and contact parts which contact with the terminals of the power supply for plural parallel devices to be measured. CONSTITUTION:A main power supply 1 sets a power supply voltage and a clamp current which are necessary for the whole of measuring systems and devices to be measured 4. The set value set by the main power supply 1 can be changed into another value if the measured devices 4 are changed. Clamp circuits 5 set limit values to the currents at the terminals of the power supply for IC devices so that the currents don't exceed the allowable current value. The respective current values set by the clamp circuits 5 may be different adequately according to the terminals of the power supply for the devices to be measured 4. Also, clamp current values 2 can be modified every time when the device is changed. Thereby, the devices and the measuring systems can be prevented from damage due to an overcurrent.
