Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To suppress inhalation of vegetable and to preserve freshness for a long period of time by preserving vegetables in a storage chamber equipped under floor, attaching a freely openable and closable floor cover at the opening of the floor and further cooling the storage chamber by a chilling means. CONSTITUTION:A floor 6 is equipped with an opening 7, a storage box 10 having an open top is laid under floor below the opening, a vegetable storage chamber 1 is made in the storage box 10 and vegetables are preserved in the vegetable storage chamber 1. Then the opening 7 is provided with an openable and closable inner cover 12 and a floor cover 9, the storage chamber 1 cooled to 0-2 deg.C by a chilling means A so that vegetables can be preserved for a long period of time.
