DISPLAY CONTROL SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To display the split screen without increasing a circuit scale by switching an area of a picture element data store means, whenever a prescribed number of compressed pattern data are supplied. CONSTITUTION:The number of pattern data supplied to a compressing means 121 is counted by a counting means 131, and based on this counting value and the number of divisions of a display screen of a display means 101, a split screen for displaying the compressed pattern data outputted from a compressing means 121 is discriminated by a discriminating means 132. In the state, when a prescribed number of compressed pattern data displayed on one split screen are stored in a picture element data store means 111, the compressed pattern data supplied continuously in an area of the data store means 111 corresponding to the other split screen. In such a way, whenever a prescribed number of compressed pattern data are stored, the area of the data store means 111 is switched. In such a way, the split screen can be displayed without increasing a circuit scale.
