BUTTON SUPPLYING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To prevent the idle sewing operation of a sewing machine without fail by detecting it by an optical sensor that a button is not supplied to the button inserting part of a turning panel by the operational defect, etc., of a button supplying part, even in such a case, and stopping the drive of a turning arm, button position correcting mechanism and button sewing machine by a control means according to the detection output. CONSTITUTION:The presence and absence of a button B in a notched part 14a is detected by an optical sensor 28 just before a discharge position and when the absence of the button is detected, a microcomputer 30 completely stops the drive of a motor 17, cylinder 23 and button sewing machine 12 until a button presence signal is next outputted from the optical sensor 28. Accordingly, a turning arm 19 can prevent the meaningless operation and idle sewing operation of a position correcting mechanism 27. Further, when a button absence signal is outputted from the optical sensor 28, the microcomputer 30 controls a motor 15 so as to shorten time required for the rotation of a turning panel 14 until the button absence signal is outputted from the optical sensor 28.
