CONSTITUTION:About 0.05-100g/l one or more kinds of compds. selected among carboxylic acids such as formic acid, lactic acid, gluconic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid and malic acid as org. acids and salts of the acids are added to soln. for a black chromating process contg. chromate or dichromate ions, sulfate ions and a silver salt. By using the resulting chromating soln., a black chromate film having high corrosion resistance and fine appearance can be formed on a Zn-Ni alloy plating film contg.
