Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To improve the slip properties, releasability, etc., of a molding by adding a specified amt. of wax comprising mainly a specific ester at an arbitrary stage before starting polycondensation in producing a polyalkylene terephthalate polyester. CONSTITUTION:An (ester-forming deriv. of) dicarboxylic acid mainly comprising terephthalic acid is reacted with an (ester-forming deriv. of) diol mainly comprising an alkylene glycol (e.g., ethylene glycol) and the reaction product is polycondensed to give a polyester. At an arbitrary stage before starting the polycondensation, 0.1-10wt.% (based on said polyester) wax mainly comprising a 50-100C ester composed of a 20C or higher fatty acid and a 20C or higher higher alcohol or a 2C or higher polyol (e.g., ethylene glycol ester of montanic acid) is added.
