Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To produce a large diameter wire rod prevented from center segregation and porous shrinkage cavity defect by arranging plural calibers on faced rolls and making the surface layer parts of the rolls between the calibers the weak cooling zone and neighborhood of the deepest part at the roll caliber the strong cooling zone. CONSTITUTION:By matching the rolls A, B, the calibers 2a, 2b, 2c,... are formed and exothermic bodies 5 are embedded between the calibers 2a and 2b,... to form the weak cooling zone 3. On the other hand, the cooling grooves 6 are arranged near the deepest part of the roll calibers 2a, 2b, 2c,... to form the strong cooling zone 4 by allowing cooling water to flow, etc. By this method, the wire rod is perfectly solidified while forming projecting solidified face from the roll deep part at the caliber toward the center of the caliber, and the large diameter wire rod prevented from the center segregation and the porous shrinkage cavity defect can be obtd. |
