STANDARD PATTERN LEARNING DEVICE FOR IDENTIFYING PICTURE AND PICTURE IDENTIFYING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To eliminate the influences such as the deterioration of a picture to execute identification and the dispersion of density by extracting the feature part of the spectrum in the special direction of a picture, forming a feature pattern and storing a standard feature pattern added with a feature pattern concerning plural standard pictures as the dictionary data for identifying the picture. CONSTITUTION:A spectrum generating means 1 obtains the spectrum of the special direction of a picture from picture information and a feature pattern forming means 2 extracts the maximum or minimum position of the spectrum obtained by the spectrum generating means 1. An adder means 3, when the information of plural standard pictures is given as the picture information, adds respective feature patterns formed by the feature pattern forming means 2 and a standard feature pattern is formed. A standard feature pattern storage means 4 stores the pattern as dictionary data. Thus, by extracting the feature part of a frequency component included in the picture information which is a standard picture, the influence due to the noise component superimposed at the standard picture and the dispersion (shift) of the overall density is reduced.
