Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To promote the fusing of a fuse for assurance of a constant and highly reliable performance and to improve the mechanical strength of the fuse for the ease of handling the fuse and for the simplification of a manufacturing process of the fuse by employing the fuse covered with a heat shrinkage tube. CONSTITUTION:One end of a fuse 6, which is previously covered with a heat shrinkage tube, is connected by thermal contact bonding to a negative electrode lead terminal 5, which is previously plated with a solder. Then, the other end of the fuse 6 is connected by a solder 8 to a negative electrode layer 3 of a capacitor element 1 whose positive electrode lead 2 is fixed by welding to a positive electrode lead terminal 4, and thereafter the capacitor element 1 is covered with outer casing resin 9 by transfer molding means leaving an exposed part of the positive electrode lead terminal 5 behind. Further, the exposed sections of the respective lead terminals are folded along the outer wall of the outer casing resin 9. Thus, a solid electrolytic capacitor is formed. The fuse, which has been reinforced with the heat shrinkage tube, has satisfactory strength against varieties of mechanical forces in a manufacturing process without any disconnection to assure high reliability and performance.
