OBSERVING APPARATUS OF WAVEFORM HAVING AUTOMATIC WAVEFORM SCROLLING FUNCTION

PURPOSE:To enable execution of both ordinary waveform scrolling only of one time and automatic waveform scrolling, by providing a rotary switch. CONSTITUTION:A rotary switch 20 rotates in the right or left direction and generates a required waveform scrolling input signal. A switch 22 generates setting signals and alteration signals thereof relating to sampling speeds, the total number of the data thereon and various set items being necessary for observing waveforms in an input range. An arithmetic device 24 is provided with CPU 30, receiving these signals, preparing input data, turning them into waveforms and displaying them as scrolls on a screen. When the switch 20 is made to rotate in the right or left direction and the amount and speed thereof are selected, the required waveform scrolling input signal corresponding thereto is generated and a waveform in a waveform scrolling state is observed in a display device 26. When the switch 20 is in a state of rotating continuously in a prescribed number of rotations or more, in the same direction and at a high speed, for instance, an input signal from the switch 20 is determined to be of automatic waveform scrolling, while it is determined to be of ordinary waveform scrolling only of one time corresponding to the other state when the switch is in this state.
