DOOR FOR RERIGERATOR AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To obtain a door having favorable operability and a high added value by filling with a foamable heat-insulating material a heat-insulating space formed by a door outer panel which comprises a rising piece and a flange part at either side part of an iron sheet, an extruded frame which has a groove for mounting a packing on four edges of the door outer panel, end pieces, etc. CONSTITUTION:A door outer panel 3 is formed in an arcuate shape by utilizing a deformation of the panel 3 by a foaming pressure at the time of loading a foamable heat-insulating material 6. The final shape (arcuate shape) of the outer panel 3 is determined by the shape of end pieces 5 and the shape of a foamed door. An extruded frame 4 for mounting a packing is engaged with flanges 3a, 3b of the door outer panel 3, and is tentatively fixed to the end pieces 5 mounted at upper and lower ends of the outer panel 3. The frame 4 is permanently fixed by an adhesive force of the foamable heat-insulating material 6 loaded finally. Thus, the packing can be fitted and detached easily.
