AUTOMATIC PEELING DEVICE FOR PROTECTIVE PAPER IN NEWSPAPER ROTARY PRESS

PURPOSE:To disuse any work by man power as well as to peel a sheet of protective paper automatically just before paper splicing work by installing two protective paper peeling knifes in a position corresponding to a duplex adhesive tape of a turning shaft and tab paper. CONSTITUTION:With detection of a mark sensor, a cylinder is operated and a first shaft 20 is rotated. Then, a pressing piece 50 and knife mounting parts 37, 45 linked up with this piece 50 via a compression spring and a knife 46 are rotated in the same direction, and a shoe 43 comes into contact with a paper surface of a web 6b, while a cutting edge of a knife 38 is set to a position where protective paper is peelable. For this reason, when a starting end of this web 6b comes nearer to the knife mounting part 37, it passes through the shoe 43 in succession from the protective paper 81 of a duplex adhesive tape 80 and when being floated up in a small clearance, it is scooped up by the cutting edge of the knife 38, and it rides over the knife 46, thus it is peeled. Another protective paper for tab paper is also scooped up by the cutting edge of the knife 38 and peeled likewise.
