TRIMMING PRINTING METHOD

PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of trimming printing by controlling a photograph printer based on numeric data which is recorded or stored after previously digitizing information on the position of an area which is enlarged and printed relative to a photographic negative and information on enlargement magnification by means of an equipment separate from the photograph printer. CONSTITUTION:The numeric data of the positions of X, Y and theta and the enlargement magnification, which are necessary for the control of the photograph printer in trimming printing, are previously digitized by means of the equipment separate from the photograph printer. Therefore, a precise trimmed print can be obtained even if an printing operation is performed by a person who can only operate the photograph printer after the difficult decision of trimming is intensively performed by a skillful person having a good sense. Thus, the quality of the trimmed print and yield, efficiency and equipment working rate in trimming printing can be drastically improved.
