Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To monitor abnormality and breakage of a rotary tool by in-process by sensing the currents in a drive motor and AE under monitoring, and controlling them complimentarily and complexly. CONSTITUTION:The current in a motor 2 for driving a drill 1 is sensed by a current sensing means 43. On the basis of the current sensed, eventual abnormality in processing is judged, and damaged condition of the drill 1 is sensed. An AE(acoustic emission) signal from an AE sensor 4 provided near the drill 1 is fed into a control part 42 upon passing through an AE processing part 41. In this control part 42, the AE signal is always monitored, and when it exceeds a certain judgement value, it is judged that an abnormality or breakage has occurred in the drill 1.
