METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MANUAL SETTING OF STOPPING SWING OF WORK

PURPOSE:To make setting in good response to different dias. by advancing a ram which is pressed in the direction of advancing at all times by a spring, thereby putting a transverse shoe and a lower shoe in contact with a setting master corresponding to the work dia., and by fixing the ram in this contact position by a locking device. CONSTITUTION:Rams 2, 3 are moved by hand to the retraction end and held by the device body 1, and in this condition, a setting master M provided previously is set on a processing machine. The holding of the retraction ends of these rams 2, 3 held on the device body 1 are then disengaged, and the rams 2, 3 are advanced by the forces of springs 10, 11, and when shoes 4, 7 come in contact with the setting master M, the axial movement of the rams 2, 3 is locked by locking devices 28, 29, followed by setting of the swing stop contacting position of the shoes 4, 7 for a work W to be processed corresponding to the setting master M.
