Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To enhance the clash resistance of the magnetic disk medium and to prevent the attraction of a magnetic head by specifying the coated amt. of the lubricating agent in a CSS (contact start stop) zone to the amt. smaller than the coated amt. of the lubricating agent in a data zone. CONSTITUTION:The CSS zone 2 is provided to the inner side of the magnetic disk medium 1 and the data zone 5 exists on the outer side thereof. The data zone 5 of the medium 1 is coated with the lubricating agent 8a and the CSS zone 2 is coated with the lubricating agent 8b. The lubricating agent 8b of the small amt. to prevent the attraction of the magnetic head is applied to the CSS zone 2 of the medium 1 and the lubricating agent 8a of a large amt. is applied to the data zone 5. The attraction of the magnetic head to the CSS zone 2 at the time of start of the magnetic disk device is obviated in this way and the clash resistance of the magnetic disk medium is improved in the data zone 5.
