METHOD FORMING PATTERN OR THE LIKE ON SURFACE OF STONE MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To obtain the stone material as a high-grade stock having ample power of expression by forming recesses expressing arbitrary patterns, etc., on the surface of the stone material and packing a packing material into the recesses. CONSTITUTION:The recesses 4 are formed by using a known method such as sandblasting in addition to hand curving on the surface of the stone material 3. The packing material 5 prepd. by mixing natural aggregate, artificial aggregate, glass, etc., and an adhesive agent is then packed into the recesses 4. The patterns, etc., which are not obtd. heretofore are formed on the surface of the stone material in this way. The packing material 5 which forms the patterns, etc., is made exactly flush with the stone material 3 if the surface of the packing material 5 in the recesses 4 is polished. The formation of the arbitrary patterns, characters, etc., consisting of the aggregate of the natural stone on the surface of the natural stone in particular is possible according to the above- mentioned method. The additive value of the stone material is, therefore, enhanced.
