OPTICAL SWITCH

PURPOSE:To confirm the operation state of the optical switch at a glance on a display part provided to part of a movable body and miniaturize the switch by putting a beam splitter in and out of the hollow part between a light emitting element and a light receiving element and thus cutting off or passing light for switching. CONSTITUTION:The light emitting element 9 and light receiving element 12 are adhered and fixed to a case 14 opposite each other across the hollow part 16. The movable body 15 constituted by adhering and fixing the beam splitter at the center part of the hollow part 16 is provided so that the movable part can be put in and out of the optical path between the light emitting element 9 and light receiving element 12. The movable body 15 is moved to put the beam splitter 17 in and out of the optical path and thus light cutoff and passing switching operation is performed; and reflected light from the beam splitter 17 is guided to the display part 19 through a guide part 18 to confirm the optical switching operation at a glance and no other component is required, so the optical switch is miniaturized.
