Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To form an aperture which does not expose a phosphor substance to the outside by breaking a part of the side wall of a glass bulb which has a phosphor membrane on the inner wall surface by decompression of gas in the bulb. CONSTITUTION:Glass bulbs 11 and 23 which have phosphor membrane at the inner wall surface are contacted at the apertures 22 and 24 formed respectively, to form a single-ended metal type fluorescent lamp linking each other. The formation of the aperture 22 is made by heating and softening the scheduled connection part 19 of the glass bulbs 11 and 23 whose one end is sealed and an exhaust pipe 14 and a stem are sealed up at the other end, and a dry air or the like is pressed in the bulb from the exhaust pipe 14 to form a projection 20. Then the air pressure in the bulb is reduced through the exhaust pipe 14, the projection is sucked up to the inside and broken, and the aperture 22 is formed. At the aperture 22, no phosphor is exposed to the outside, and it is connected to the aperture 24 formed in the same manner at the bulb 23. |
