Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To achieve a rapid and smooth speed change when a speed change gears and a frictional clutch are controlled by actuators by controlling each actuator as to make the clutch into a half-clutch condition and then changing the speed to an intended gear position. CONSTITUTION:The rotation of an internal combustion engine 2 is transmitted to a speed change gears 5 through a friction type clutch 4, and the clutch 4 and the speed change gears 5 are automatically operated by a clutch actuator 6 and a transmission actuator 10, respectively. The position of the pressure plate 4b of the clutch 4 is detected by a stroke sensor 7, and when the speed change operation is conducted, the clutch 4 is made in a half-clutch state. After detecting the half-clutch state, the transmission actuator 10 is operated to change the speed to an intended gear position. The gear shift-up and shift-down can be conducted smoothly within a short time using a simple constitution.
