Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To enable the priority operation of an air conditioner so as not to give discomfort feelings to users by cyclically stopping the operation of an indoor machine with the minimum load for every predetermined period of time and preferentially operating other indoor machines with the heavier loads in the case where an outdoor machine is brought into the state of overload. CONSTITUTION:An outdoor machine 1 and indoor machines 2 to 5 are connected to one another by a refrigerant pipeline 11 and a transmission line 10. A required frequency is calculated on the basis of a preset temperature set by an inlet temperature sensor and a remote control switch, and the operation frequency of a compressor is determined from the required frequency and the capacity of the indoor and outdoor machines. In the case where the total value of the capacity of the indoor machines shows 1.2 times or greater of the capacity of the outdoor machine and, further, a state that the outlet gas pressure of the compressor is 15kg/cm or below continues for three minutes or longer, it is judged that the capacity of the outdoor machine is insufficient, and a priority room operation control is effected. If the priority room operation control proceeds, an operation stop signal is sent to the indoor machine with the smallest value of the request frequency. Thus, the control continues stopping cyclically the operation of an indoor machine with the minimum request frequency every five minutes until the priority room operation control is released.
