MERGE SORTING CIRCUIT

PURPOSE:To rapidly execute merge sorting processing by a simple constitution by using dual port RAMs(D-RAMs) with a serial port to execute the merge sorting processing of data. CONSTITUTION:The D-RAMs 1, 4, 5 are dual port RAMs(D-RAMs) respectively having a serial port and a random port, data to be applied to merge sorting processing are stored in two D-RAMs 4, 5 with serial ports and the outputs of the serial ports are compared with each other by a comparator 3 to execute the merge sorting processing. The sorted result is selected by a selector 2 and inputted to the D-RAM 1. The transfer processing of a these data is controlled by a sequencer 8. Thus, rapid processing can be attained by the simple constitution.
