Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve the using efficiency of a line buffer by disconnecting a logical line not to be used by means of the resetting of a WS, and effectively using the line buffer which has been allocated to a disconnected logical line. CONSTITUTION:A work station(WS) 1 stores time whenever it rises, and notifies stored rise time information together with it at the time of the connection request of the logical line to a server 2. On the other hand, the server 2 stores the rise time information from the WS 1 at every WS 1, and at the time of the connection request from the second time of the same WS 1 onward, the notified rise time information is compared with the rise time information of the WS 1 held by the server 2. By the comparison, when they are nonconsistent, resetting is generated in the WS 1, it is judged that re-rise has been executed, all logical lines connected beforehand are disconnected, and the line buffers allocated to the lines are released. Thus, the duplication of the logical lines can be prevented, and the effective use of the line buffer is attained.
