Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent a decrease in the deodorization efficiency by heating SHIRASU (volcanic glass) to a specified temp., steaming the SHIRASU at a specified temp., then discharging, and cooling the SHIRASU. CONSTITUTION:The SHIRASU 1 freed of impurities is gradually charged from an inlet 5, and agitated by impellers 10a and 10b. The inside of a heating kettle 2 is held at 260 deg.C, and 90% of the water in the SHIRASU 1 is discharged by agitation and heating. A lid 4 is put on the inlet 5, and the SHIRASU 1, which has been agitated and heated, is steamed. The steam is discharged little by little from a hole 8 formed in the side wall of the inlet 5, and the water in the SHIRASU 1 is completely removed. After steaming, a power source for a heater 3 is turned off, the impellers 10a and 10b are rotated in the opposite direction, and the SHIRASU is discharged from an outlet 7. As a result, the formed pores are strengthened, and an deodorizing action can be fully exhibited.
