Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To prevent the recording of noise during a nonsound signal by providing a mute circuit for attenuating an input signal lower than a recording level for a signal recording circuit and then outputting it and a switch capable of changing the connection for the input signal from the input of an input signal amplifier circuit over to the input of the mute circuit. CONSTITUTION:The title circuit is composed of the signal recording circuit 2, the input signal amplifier circuit 3, the mute circuit 4, the switch 5 and a sound signal input terminal 6, and at the time of recording the normal sound signal, the sound signal input terminal 6 is connected to the input of the input signal amplifier circuit 3 by the switch 5. Then, for the nonsound signal time and for the time when a sound signal on a sound track of a video tape is desired to be erased, the connection of the sound signal input terminal 6 is changed over to the input of the mute circuit 4 by the switch 5, so that its output level is attenuated lower than the recording level for the signal recording circuit 2. By this method, the sound track of the video tape is prevented from being recorded with noise, or the sound signal recorded already on the sound track is erased.
