Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain the composite implant material which has high strength and high toughness and has excellent vital affinity by forming a surface layer part as a porous layer and packing porous calcium phosphate into fine pores. CONSTITUTION:At least the surface layer part of the ceramics implant material consisting of high-toughness ceramics such as zirconia ceramics is formed porous and the porous calcium phosphate such as apatite hydroxide is packed into the fine pores thereof. The pore sizes in a 0.1-2mm range are used for the fine pores of the high-toughness ceramics and the average grain size of the porous calcium phosphate is specified in a 10-200mum range. This implant material has the remarkable effect of having the high strength and high toughness and the excellent vital affinity.
