TRANSFER FILM AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To obtain a transfer film, which allows simultaneous processes of both decorating and embossing to a resin molded item, by a method wherein in-mold transfer is carried out. CONSTITUTION:A release layer 2 and a protective layer 3 are formed in the order named onto the surface of a supporting film 1. Further, printing layers 4 are printed onto the protective layer 3. Furthermore, the protective layer and the whole printing layers are covered by an adhesive layer 5. On the other hand, an emboss developing layer 6 is printed on the surface opposite to the surface, onto which the layers 2-5 are formed. At in-mold transfer, a transfer film is arranged so that the adhesive layer 5 side is faced to a male mold 7 and the emboss developing printed layer 6 is faced to the other female mold 8 so as to feed molten resin 10 through a gate 9 in order to mold a resin product. After molding, the molded item is taken out of the molds and the supporting film layer 1 is separated from the item by means of the release layer 2.
