Zusammenfassung:	The polyaryl ether ketones are built up essentially from (A) 55 - 95 mol % of recurring units of the formula I or ring-substituted C1-C6-alkyl, C1-C6-alkoxy, aryl, chlorine or fluorine derivatives thereof, where s and t are each 0, 1, 2 or 3, and Q and T may each be -O- or -CO-, and (B) 5 - 45 mol % of recurring units of the formula II in which Ar , Ar , Ar , Ar and Ar , independently of one another, are each a phenylene, biphenylene or naphthylene group or a C1-C6-alkyl, C1-C6-alkoxy, aryl, chlorine or fluorine derivative thereof, Q' and T' may each be -O- or -CO-, and s' and t' are each 0, 1, 2 or 3, with the proviso that at least one of the substituents Ar , Ar , Ar , Ar and Ar is a biphenylene or naphthylene group or a C1-C6-alkyl, C1-C6-alkoxy, aryl, chlorine or fluorine derivative of such a group, and not all the parameters s, t, s' and t' are simultaneously 0 if Ar is a biphenylene group.
