POWER SUPPLY CHANGEOVER OPENING/CLOSING DEVICE WITH BYPASS BREAKER

PURPOSE:To prevent the contact of a bypass breaker from damage due to mixed contacting of two kinds of power supplies or generation of arcs by incorporating bypass breaker and a changeover switcher in a single body, and interlocking the two members. CONSTITUTION:When No.1 contact 3 of a switcher 2 is in opened state, a detent part 18 interlocked with the No.1 contact 3 blocks the way of motion of another detent part 28 interlocked with a bypass breaker 5 so as to hinder the breaker 5 from closing operation. This prevents generation of arcs to be generated by turning-on of the breaker 5 or the trapping current, and there is no risk of damaging the contact. When the bypass breaker 5 is in closed state, the detent part 28 interlocked with the breaker 5 blocks the way of motion of the abovementioned detent part 18 interlocked with No.2 contact 4 so as to hinder No.2 contact 4 from closing operation. Thus there is no risk of a large current flowing caused by mixed contacting of No.1 power source and No.2 power source with the load side.
