PRINTER DEVICE

PURPOSE:To enable a paper to be set to an accurate position without manual operations by feeding the paper by a preset length after detection of a feed hole greater than normal feed holes. CONSTITUTION:With a paper setting button depressed, a paper 6 is fed in the direction of an arrow B by a feeder 4. In this case, only feed holes 9 (namely, normal-sized holes) are present in a detecting range of a sensor 5, so that the paper 6 is fed, as usual, in the direction of the arrow B. With the paper 6 fed further, the sensor 5 detects a feed hole 8 (namely, a hole greater than the normal feed holes). In response to the detection, the sensor 5 instructs the feeder 4 to feed the paper 6 by a preset length, so that the feeder 4 feeds the paper 6 to an accurate position, and stops the paper. This operation can be realized by preliminarily setting the length of the paper through a console panel, and feeding the paper by a length obtained by subtracting the positional difference between the sensor 5 and a printing head 2 from the paper length.
