Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To make fine adjustment of trigger timing possible by providing a gap switch having an electrode distance corresponding to the space between adjacent induction cavities and a means for inducing discharge through a chain reaction of the switch to adjust trigger timing by the electrode distance. CONSTITUTION:A flush lamp for a trigger 10 is driven by injection timing of a charged particle beam 7, an ultraviolet ray UV is injected in a gap switch 11a equivalent to the uppermost upstream of the charged particle beam 7. When the gap switch 11a starts discharging with a time lag corresponding to an electrode distance D, adjacent gap switches 11 discharge as they are successively induced to the downstream side, and the core 5 in an induced cavity 6 is exited synchronistically with the progress of the charged particle beam 7. The timing of a pulse voltage then outputted from a pulse generator 3 is set by a discharge time of the gap switch 11. When the gap between adjusted induced cavities is changed thereby, it is possible to make fine adjustments of trigger timing if the electrode distances of the respective gap switches are adjusted.
