RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE:To make inertia force attendant upon reciprocation of a piston offsettable each other by forming each pattern of coils on the circumferential surface of each driver connected to each of paired pistons built in a cylinder, with a cylindrical body with pectinations on the circumferential surface. CONSTITUTION:A pair of pistons 3, 3 are oppositely set up in a single cylinder 2 whose both ends are opened at both sides of it in holding a compression space for a working medium in between, while coils 10 of each driver 8 connected to a shaft end of each piston are set up in a magnetic field of a constant field magnet device installed at the outer circumferential side of the cylinder. The drivers 8 connected to each of pistons 3, 3 forms each pattern of the coils 10 on the circumferential surface of the cylindrical body 9 with pectinations 9a on the circumferential surface. In addition, in an interval between the drivers 8 themselves, the pectinations 9a themselves at the counter side are oppositely set up face-to-face with respective drivers 8 on the same shaft so as to cause them to be engaged with each other.
