Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To rapidly switch a cold-rolled steel sheet over to a plated steel sheet by raising a sink roll dipped in a plating bath along a lifting guide above the plating bath, and using the roll as a deflector roll at that position. CONSTITUTION:In the process for producing a hog dipped steel sheet, the sink roll 4 is dipped in the plating bath 2 to form a passage for a steel sheet 1 passing through the inside of the bath 2. The steel sheet 1 plated in the bath 2 is guided by a guide roll 5, and passed through a wiping nozzle 7 where the amt. of the plating metal to be deposited is adjusted. When the production process is switched over to a cold-rolled steel sheet production process, the line is stopped, the injection of a gas from the nozzle 7 is stopped, and the roll 5 and the nozzle 7 are opened and raised. The sink roll 4 is then pulled up along the lifting guide 9 by a lifting cylinder 8, etc., and arranged above the bath 2. At this time, the bearing 10 of the roll 4 is moved along the guide 9.
