BASE FABRIC FOR CARD CLOTHING

PURPOSE:To obtain the title base fabric without inducing high level of static electricity, thus capable of avoiding troubles associated with static electrification by applying a rubber layer on one surface of a laminate consisting of, through adhesive, multilayered cloths blended with electrically conductive fiber such as carbon fiber. CONSTITUTION:Plural sheets of a cloth 1 with electrically conductive fiber such as carbon fiber blended with e.g., aramid fiber (e.g., of both high heat resistance and tensile strength) are laminated, through an adhesive such as silicone resin-based one, to form a laminate 2, and the upper surface of this laminate 2 is layered with a silicone rubber 3, or part of the electrically conductive fiber is exposed on the surface of the cloth 1, or the surface of said laminate 2 is layered with an antistatic paper incorporated with said electrically conductive fiber; thus obtaining the objective base fabric for card clothing. When this base fabric is used in raising card clothing, high level of static electricity will not be induced; in particular, even in processing at elevated temperatures, troubles due to static electricity can be reduced to a minimum or avoided.
