REAR WHEEL STEERING DEVICE OF FRONT/REAR WHEEL STEERED CAR

PURPOSE:To set the rear wheel steering characteristic relative to the steering open the front wheels as any desired by rotating an output shaft through No. 1, No. 2 link with rotation of a rotary member to which the steering force of the front wheels is transmitted, and altering the ratio of the two links. CONSTITUTION:When a steering wheel is rotated, a rack bar is displaced axially through a steering shaft, and thereby the left and right front wheels are steered. Through a rotary shaft, the displacement of this rack bar is transmitted to a rotary member 33 and an input shaft 31 of a rear wheel steering device, and a pin 34 is turned with their rotation. Another pin 36 is moved on a circle C2 with the axis L2 as the center while restricted by No. 1, No. 2 link 35, 37, and by this movement the No. 2 link 37 and an output shaft 32 a rotated round the axis L2. Through a pinion gear 32a. rack bar 22 on the rear wheel side is displaced axially with rotation of this output shaft 32, and thus the rear wheels are steered.
