MANUFACTURING OF POWDER COATED PRODUCT

PURPOSE:To obtain a product free from traces in its coating film by a method wherein the retaining parts of the product to be coated are coated with a powder resin which is then melted, the product, before coat solidification, is held by a retaining jig whose surface is composed of the fluororesin having a higher melting point than the aforesaid powder resin, all the surfaces of the product are recoated with the aforesaid powder resins except the jig retained parts and the powder resins on the product are solidified. CONSTITUTION:The parts of a heated product to be coated (e.g. metal product and ceramic product) which comes in contact with a retaining jig are coated with the powder resins of the type employed in baking finish and this coat is melted. Before the solidification of this resin coat, the product is held by the retaining jig whose faces in contact with the product are composed of the fluororesin (e.g. tetrafluoroethylene resin) having a higher melting point than the aforesaid resin, where by all the product surfaces are recoated with the powder resins which are then melted and solidified except the jig retained parts of the product. By this method, the product in satisfactorily powder coated state can be obtained even after jig removal.
