ALIGNMENT PROCESSING METHOD FOR MATERIALS IN BAND SHAPE AND ITS DEVICE

PURPOSE:To enhance both work efficiency and productivity by automatically folding materials in a band shape which are discharged out due to imperfection in length and weight, pressing them so that they can be piled up with ease over a pallet on a dolly, thereby falling them in order in the specified position of the dolly so that they can be supplied. CONSTITUTION:When the tip end of a material W in a band shape with a constant length which is carried in, is detected by a detecting means provided for a folding device 3, the tip end of the material W in a band shape is clamped by the clamping device 9 of the folding device 3, the material W in a band shape is turned over to the direction that it is pulled out while it is being left over as it is. Then, when the rear end of the material W in a band shape is detected by the detecting means, the tip end of the material W in a band shape is released by the clamping means 9 so that the material in a band shape is brought into a folded condition by its own dead weight. After the material W in a band shape in a folded condition has been pressed by a presser device 4, it is carried into a dropping device 7, let the material W in a band shape in a folded condition fall into a dolly 6 which stands by underneath the dropping device 7 in order that they are loaded while being aligned.
