CHANNEL TEST METHOD

PURPOSE:To easily conduct the test even during the operation of a monitor center equipment by operating a dialer sequentially depending on a channel test number sent from a channel test equipment so as to select a telephone line and testing the channel depending whether or not the channel test signal is received by each signal converter. CONSTITUTION:A channel test signal sent from a channel test equipment 3 is fetched by signal converters 23-26 and dialers 15-18 and the dialers 15-18 select the 1st telephone line 2 to make connection, then the signal converters 23-26 connect to adjacent signal converters 23-26 via MODEMs 19-22. A channel test signal sent from a channel constituted as above is received by the channel test equipment 3 to discriminate it that the channel using the telephone line 2 is normal. The test as above is implemented sequentially to an adjacent telephone line. Thus, the test is conducted in a short time and the channel is easily tested by having only to take the operating program of the existing equipment into account.
